Types of buildings in terms of type of application and importance
Buildings are divided into four main groups in terms of application and importance:
Group 1 (very important building): Hospitals, fire stations, water supply facilities, power plants, watchtowers, telecommunications, radio and television, law enforcement facilities, aid centers
Group 2 (High importance buildings) High importance buildings are divided into three general groups:
A) Buildings whose destruction causes high human and financial losses. Such as: large stores, stadiums, cinemas, schools and
B) Buildings whose destruction causes the loss of national wealth. Such as: national document storage centers, museums and…
C) Buildings whose destruction causes fires and environmental pollution. Such as: refineries, refueling centers and…
Group 3 - "Medium importance" buildings
This group of buildings includes all buildings covered by this regulation, except for the buildings mentioned in the other three groups, such as residential, office and commercial buildings, hotels, multi-storey car parks, warehouses, workshops, and industrial buildings.
4. "Low Importance" Buildings
This group includes the following two categories: a) Buildings that have relatively little damage from damage and are very unlikely to cause human casualties, such as agricultural warehouses and livestock halls. B- Temporary buildings whose operation period is less than 2 years.
